Coverage Options

Coverage built around
protecting your income.

If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family's income stop? That's the real question — here's how we address it.

Most Common

Term Life

Income replacement for a set period — 10, 20, or 30 years — at the lowest cost per dollar of protection. Built around what your family would actually need to keep going without your paycheck.

Living Benefits

Term with Living Benefits

Same income protection as term, but many policies today can also pay out early if you're diagnosed with a critical, chronic, or terminal illness — not just at death. Often available at little to no extra cost.

Simplified

Final Expense

Smaller policies designed to cover funeral costs and final bills so your family isn't left covering them out of pocket. Easier to qualify for, often no medical exam.

Retirement & Savings

Market protection
for what you've already saved.

I also work with fixed indexed annuities — a way to grow retirement savings tied to market index performance, without your principal being directly exposed to market losses.

Principal Protection

How It Works

Your money isn't directly invested in the market. Interest is credited based on the performance of a market index, so a down year in the market doesn't reduce what you've already put in.

Good To Know

What This Isn't

This isn't a security, and it isn't a promise to match or beat market returns. It's an insurance contract — growth potential in exchange for downside protection.

Backed By

The Fine Print

Guarantees are backed by the financial strength and claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company, not by the FDIC. Features and availability vary by state and carrier.

This is general information, not personalized investment, tax, or legal advice. Talk to your own financial and tax professionals before making a decision, and I'm happy to walk through specifics on a call.

How It Works

Three steps.
No pressure at any of them.

You can stop after step one if it's not the right time — that's a completely normal outcome of this process.

Step 01

We Talk

15 minutes. I ask about your family, your budget, and what you're actually trying to protect against — no forms, no quotes yet.

Step 02

I Compare

I check your situation against multiple carriers, not just one company's product, and bring back the options that actually fit.

Step 03

You Decide

You choose, or you don't — both are fine outcomes. If you move forward, I handle the paperwork and stay your point of contact after.

Questions

Common questions.

How much income protection do I actually need?

Depends on your income, debts, and how many years you want replaced — most families land somewhere between 10-15x annual income, but we'll work out your actual number on the call, not guess at it here.

What's a fixed indexed annuity, in plain terms?

An insurance contract, not an investment account. Your money isn't directly in the market, so a bad year in the market doesn't shrink your principal — but growth potential is tied to how a market index performs, within limits set by the contract. It's a trade-off: less upside than being fully invested, but real downside protection.

Do I need a medical exam?

Depends on the policy type and amount. Final expense and some term policies can be approved without one. I'll tell you upfront which options require an exam before you commit to anything.

What if I already have coverage through work?

Worth checking — employer coverage usually ends the day you leave the job, and often isn't enough on its own. I can look at what you have and tell you honestly if it's sufficient.

Is this a hard sales pitch?

No. If it's not a fit, or it's not the right time for you, I'll say so. This site exists because I'd rather have that conversation directly than have you guess at pricing from a form.

"I expected a sales pitch and got a straight answer instead. Mike told me the smaller policy actually made more sense for where we're at right now. That honesty is why we came back for a second policy last year."
